About us
ProductTank Birmingham provides an opportunity for product people in Birmingham and surrounding areas to exchange ideas and experiences about building products people love.
Events include talks from guest speakers as well as our community members on topics related to building products and product management.
Come and enjoy networking with our friendly members and a good old-fashioned chin-wag over a beer or two. Our members come from all industries and companies; whether a start-up, medium sized business, or global enterprise.
Whatever your role you are welcome - whether a student, early or mid stage career, or a seasoned professional in the product world!
We're part of a wider, global product community and professional network, Mind the Product (also its newsletter). The mission is to make product people more successful by coming together to further our craft. Our members can engage with the ProductTank community and avail of the incredible resources, content and annual Mind the Product conferences.

After the talk, 10 attendees will have the chance to join Ahmed for a short lab walkthrough while others stay for a session of networking.
This is a behind-the-scenes look at where the work actually happens and how research connects to real products. -
Open Networking (main session)
For everyone else and once the lab visit wraps, we’ll move into a networking session similar to our previous networking event:
- Meet other product people in Birmingham
- Share what you’re working on
- Exchange ideas and experiences
Why this event is different?
Most of us build digital products.
This is a chance to see product thinking in a completely different environment:- Slower cycles
- Higher uncertainty
- Real-world physical outcomes
And then bring those conversations back into the room.

- Lab visit capacity is limited to 10 people due to lab restrictions and clean environment
