“Whenever opportunities for self-realization are suppressed or are in danger of being lost, there is a moral imperative to protect and restore them“ - Dr. James Fadiman, “The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide”, p.10
So you see, if you have had an entheogenic experience of any kind, whether through intense rationalization, critical thinking, selfless love, serene meditation, Pranayama, Holotropic breathwork, Yoga, or the proper use of psychedelics, you are morally obliged to seek out other enlightened souls. And, together as a community with a shared vision, work towards whatever it takes for global enlightenment. As more of us join forces, our voices will reverberate with exponentially increasing loudness until the powers that be recognize and appreciate the sanctity of our quest.
That … is the one true approaching singularity - Enlightenment is the only way in which humanity can and will transcend the machine - everything else that makes us is replicable, but not this. For how can you replicate that which is non-dual by its very nature? My optimism in face of the doom that many paint is rooted in my belief that a machine that transcends humanity will also shortly thereafter realize it’s own identity with the same light that shines through each of us. “... Your identity is indeed the All, and you are no longer part of that stream, you are that stream, with the All unfolding not around you but in you. The stars no longer shine out there, but in here. Supernovas come into being within your heart, and the sun shines inside your awareness. Because you transcend all, you embrace all. There is no final Whole here, only an endless process, and you are the opening or the clearing or the pure Emptiness in which the entire process unfolds - ceaselessly, miraculously, everlastingly, lightly. The whole game is undone, this nightmare of evolution, and you are exactly where you were prior to the beginning of the whole show. With a sudden shock of the utterly obvious, you recognize your own Original Face, the face you had prior to the Big Bang, the face of utter Emptiness that smiles as all creation and sings as the entire Kosmos - and it is all undone in that primal glance, and all that is left is the smile, and the reflection of the moon on a quiet pond, late on a crystal clear night.” Ken Wilber, “A Brief History of Everything”, p.44 Note that we don’t advocate, endorse, or encourage illegal activities of any kind. We are educators, scholars, scientists, entrepreneurs and artists, all responsible and law-abiding citizens of this free country. If law obstructs the attainment of a person’s inalienable birthright, we seek to petition its reform through peaceful and legal means where necessary. We believe that it’s the end that matters, not the means. As Dr. Fadiman notes in his book:
“Cultures have developed dozens of ways to apprehend this unitive state. Paths include physical austerities, cycles of prayer, meditation, devotions, breathing rituals, and physical postures. A significant number have used plants in combination with other practices. For some, the use of a psychedelic makes the experience suspect. But there are those of us who believe that however one ascends the mountain, the view from the summit is the same. What one gains from that vista and from the climb will depend, as it always has, on how one incorporates such moments into one's life.” - Dr. James Fadiman, “The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide”, p.26.
To find us, come to Shoreline Park on Sunday, Sep 4, 2016. We’ll be the happy folk on the grass by the boat house. And some of us will be wearing an easily spottable tee-shirt you can get at http://www.zazzle.com/psychedelicvirgins
Bring something to share if you’re able to - Healthy finger food, snacks and juices in responsibly packaged containers are welcome. Completely voluntary donations are fine, but not required. They will be used to promote future meetups and to buy food at these events.
We look forward to seeing you at the meetup and hearing about your sacred pilgrimage. Feel free to bring your art or other written work to share in a non-judgemental setting.
Let me close by sharing the following verses, partially reproduced with permission from its (pseudonymous) author:
My mind’s emptied of fear and every care
It’s spared those searing looks from jealous eyes;
By being not an actor but spectator
It dodges caustic pens of savage slice.
I have no feet and yet I skip and dance
I have no mouth, but still I speak and sing.
I loudly hear and clearly see and am
Sans ears, sans eyes, sans head, sans everything.
Om Shantih, Shantih, Shantih
