Teaching Ethics: "Change the path. Not the rider." Discuss Jon. Haidt's video
Needs a date and time

Brookfield Place (World Financial Center) - Hudson Eats

Teaching Ethics: "Change the path. Not the rider." https://youtu.be/x3z8brCtMk8 ;

https://youtu.be/x3z8brCtMk8

Jonathan Haidt addresses the American Psychology Association (APA). Why are we so divide (possibly) and what we can do about it (where we can)?

Purpose: Discuss how to develop ethical cultures in organizations (e.g. societies, institutions, families).

https://youtu.be/vAE-gxKs6gM

"The Moral Roots of Liberals and Conservatives" - Jonathan Haidt's TED Talk.

Suggestions:

A. Make one point at a time and allow others to respond to your point. Speak from personal experience.

B. Listen to understand the other person's perspective and choose to suspend judgment. (You don't have to agree.)

C. Identify the underlying values, priorities, & assumptions. Look for new insights.

Note – Meetup nor the participants neither screens participants, nor supervises or controls meetings, and we have no involvement with any of the individuals who participate. Therefore, we suggest that participants exercise good judgment when attending.

Participants are:

- expected to honor other people's stated boundaries and respect their privacy
- not obligated to provide information or answer any questions against their will
- encouraged to share only information they feel comfortable with sharing
- expected to maintain confidentiality and not reshare personal information without permission from the owner.

Please be advised that meetup is NOT a forum for dating, proselytizing, therapy, or for employees or independent contractors to introduce, promote, or sell goods and/or services, or for any unlawful activity. Participants voluntarily agree to participate by showing up. Thank you.
