What we're about
PyData Atlanta is the local chapter of PyData (https://pydata.org/). Our monthly meetups are free and open to the public. They feature a 30 minute main speaker as well as contributed lighting talks.
PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS (https://www.numfocus.org/), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data science tools to share ideas and learn from each other.
Interested in speaking? We are always looking for speakers that can share insightful stories about data while exploring the methods behind those stories. Please sign up here (http://bit.ly/PyDataATL-lightning-talks). Our events benefit both experienced and beginner data scientists alike.
Interested in sponsoring? Sponsor a meetup by paying for pizza and refreshments. Sponsorship includes a logo at the bottom of our meetup page (https://www.meetup.com/PyData-Atlanta/) as well as a spotlight talk before the main speaker allowing you to introduce your group or company to the audience of data science professionals, students, and academics.
The PyData Code of Conduct (http://pydata.org/code-of-conduct.html) governs this meetup. To discuss any issues or concerns relating to the code of conduct or the behavior of anyone at a PyData meetup, please contact NumFOCUS Executive Director Leah Silen (+1 512-222-5449; firstname.lastname@example.org) or the local group organizers (message us on the meetup page).
