Talk Title: "Automation of data processing from complex surveys"

Description: I will show you how I managed to automate processing of data from the Household Finance and Consumption Survey (HFCS, https://www.ecb.europa.eu/pub/economic-research/research-networks/html/researcher_hfcn.en.html), which is a project coordinated by the European Central Bank that aims at collecting and analyzing micro-data on households’ finances and consumption in the whole euro area. I created a program called MeDaMi (Meta Data Multiple Imputation, https://www.econstor.eu/bitstream/10419/154636/1/ecbsp01.pdf) that defines metadata structure of the survey, allowing to perform consistency checks and automatically impute missing values in the data. My program has been successfully implemented in 5 central banks of the Eurosystem. Its algorithm can be easily applied in any complex survey.
