Ever wanted to give a conference talk but not sure where to start? Now is your chance! 💜

PyCon DE and PyData Berlin just announced that they extended their CfP deadline and their Program Co-Chair, Noa, is a local Berlin Pythonista, who specifically wanted to host this event to make space for more people to have an opportunity to develop their CfPs with community support.

18:30 - 18:45 (15min) Welcome, join the call, and getting started sharing ideas if you already have them

18:45 - 19:00 (15min) Noa Tamir - Answering the Call for Proposal - tips, ideas, and some motivation for & how you should answer the CfP

19:00 - 19:15 (15min) We go through the PyCon DE & PyData Berlin CfP together, answer questions you may have, and start noticing what is relevant or relatable for us

19:15 - 19:45 (30min) everyone shares and receives some feedback

19:45 - 21:00 (1h:15min) open writing hour, mentors** are available to talk through your ideas and offer support

21:00 - 21:30 (30min) everyone shares and receives some feedback

  • Please allow for some flexibility as we may make some adjustments based on how many people participate to make the most of the experience and the number of mentors available

** If you have experience speaking at conferences and would like to join as a CfP mentor, please reach out to Noa through meetup or through the PyLadies Slack Channel

• Photography / Video Consent
We take photos and videos during the event to use for documentation and in social media such as here in Photo albums, Facebook, Twitter, etc. By joining the meetup, you willingly give consent to take photos and videos of you. If you do not want to give your consent, please let us know at check-in. For online events which are recorded you can choose to keep your video off and change your username to retain anonymity.
