What weโre about
We are the first Irish PyLadies group founded in 2013.ย Our focus is to help more women become active participants and leaders in the Python open-source community. Our mission is to promote, educate and advance a diverse Python community. PyLadies Dublin also aims to provide a friendly support network for women and a bridge to the larger Python world. Anyone with an interest in Python is encouraged to participate!

TALK DETAILS
Navigating the Move from a Business to a Technical Role
This talk discusses the move from a business role (project manager/scrum master) to a data scientist role, and how learning python was the key step in this journey.
The second half of the session is an activity where attendees need to guess the ICD-10 (disease) code.**About Laura Brennan (**Senior Data Scientist, Optum)
Laura has recently moved into a data science role, having initially spent 5 years working in consulting and project management. Bored of just speaking about other people's work, she learned python and has pivoted to a role as a data scientist.๐ FAQ
