We are the Munich chapter of an international mentorship group, PyLadies, with a focus on helping more women become active participants and leaders in the Python open-source community. Our mission is to promote, educate and advance a diverse Python community through outreach, education, conferences, events and social gatherings.

PyLadies also aims to provide a friendly support network for women and a bridge to the larger Python world. Anyone with an interest in Python is encouraged to participate!

Being an expert in a skill means taking the first baby steps that might seem insignificant at the beginning. Are you curious about the first steps into becoming a Data Analyst or Scientist using python as the main scripting language? Well, this session will show you every step a beginner in python needs to be aware of while learning their skills in Data Analysis. You will see how different python modules are used and learn how to write your first function to retrieve, clean and transform and finally obtain a simple insight from data.
