COST: $135 includes: transportation from train to all wineries and attractions. Tastings at all 3 of the wineries, lunch, all taxes and gratuities. Lunch menu will be sent as we get closer to the event.
Not included: train fare
The Hudson Valley is America’s oldest winemaking and grape growing region. Join us for this fun day where you will enjoy a spectacular autumn day out of the city, taste great wines and meet a fun group of NYSN members and friends. The group will also visit a local orchard.
What to expect:
-You will start your day with a beautiful riverside train ride on Metro-North from Grand Central Terminal. Along the way you will be treated to dazzling views of the Hudson Valley. You may also drive to meet the group if you live north of the city. Please contact info@newyorksocialnetwork.com to make arrangements.
-Your guide will meet you in Poughkeepsie then bring you to a beautiful setting for lunch.
-Following lunch, we will visit 3 local wineries
-We will also have a chance to stop at a local farm stand for those who would like to bring home some fresh fruits and veggies.
-Your guide will then bring you back to the train station for the 5:50pm train back to the city.
Wineries could include: Red Maple, Benmarl, Glorie, El Paso
What to bring:
-Dress for the weather. Casual and comfortable.
-A large backpack or bag if you wish to bring home vegetables from local farm stand or bottles of wine.
COVID-19 Protocols: Mixed Group
This event is open to vaccinated and non vaccinated members.
We will take temperatures upon arrival
If you think you have been exposed or have recently tested positive please do not come.
If there is a mix of vaccinated and non vaccinated participants we will ask that masks are worn while in close proximity to others like in the van or in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of any venue we visit.
Can I come alone? Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You are welcome to bring as many nonmember guests, friends & coworkers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.
Do I need a ticket? If this is a free event, no. For paid events: It is always best to print out the ticket confirmation or save it on your devices as proof of purchase especially if you have purchased your ticket on the same day as the event.
Dress Code: Dress for the weather we will be outside most of the day
How will I find the group? We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of.
