Come downtown for food, drink, talks, and socializing. We'll be talking about ReactJS and related technologies. There is a lightrail stop at the corner of where the meetup is.

Talks/topics to be covered:

Bash Scripting and React Apps in Webpack by Graham Nessler

For all its benefits, Webpack is a common source of frustration for many JavaScript developers due to its fragility and complexity of configuration. Partly for this reason, many developers prefer using "out of the box" tools such as Create React App over creating new applications "from scratch." In this talk, we will examine the advantages and disadvantages of each approach and then look at some Bash scripts that Graham created to facilitate the process of setting up and maintaining a Webpack project within the context of React. We will walk through how these issues play out as relates to a grocery list app that I created using React and Redux and talk about other use cases when such scripts might or might not be the best solution for your application.

React & Native, Sharing Code Between Apps and the Web by Chandler Prall

At Craftsy we use React & React Native to share our state and logic code between the website, Android, and iOS apps, providing faster development cycles and shared user experience between platforms. We'll walk through our setup (codebase and team structure), talk through pain points we have dealt with, and share our plans for making the dev experience even better.
