About us
Worried about the future? You’re not alone.
Join a bipartisan civic network focused on local action, democratic norms, and constructive engagement.
#Resist: Metro Detroit is a civic network for people who want to participate thoughtfully and locally. We don’t chase outrage. We show up—at city councils, school boards, community meetings, and coordinated peaceful actions—bringing consistency, clarity, and civic responsibility to public life.
HOW WE WORK:
Our work is organized through Civic Circles: groups focused on specific areas of civic life, such as local government, education, elections, and community engagement.
Some circles are forming now, with more to follow. Members will be invited to help build, lead, or participate as each circle comes online.
You don’t need prior experience.
- New to civic engagement? We’ll help you get started.
- Already involved? We’ll help give your efforts structure and continuity.
GET INVOLVED:

We’ll be reaching out as opportunities open up.
COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS:
We ask members to stay peaceful, respectful, inclusive, and committed to constructive civic engagement.
Your voice matters—but democracy works best when voices work together.
