This Meetup will be a workshop for Game Masters. We'll begin with several presentations and group activities, then transition to a group discussion where people can get feedback on challenges they face running a game, or questions they'd like to get answered. Presentation topics will include:
How to prepare for a game.
How to respond to unexpected player choices.
What online resources are available to help you prepare?
How to deal with problematic players.
Understanding why people enjoy playing games, and how to use that information to ensure everyone has the most fun.
This will be held in the meeting room of the Mira Mesa public library. The door to this room is to the right of the main entrance door. Please send me a message on Meetup if you have any trouble finding it.
After the meetup, everyone is invited over to my place (~ 1 mile from the location) for a potluck. Address will be distributed at the event. Hope to see you all there!
