Sane Francisco Analogue Saturdays
Details
This is a regular weekly happening that's started up, centered around the community of folks who resist the Covid authoritarianism, although everyone's welcome. A message from the organizer...
Hello Sane Franciscans,
Thank you to everyone who came out and made last weekend’s Sunday gathering so special. It was a joy to see so many happy kids running around barefoot on the grass or playing in the nearby kids' playground, friends, families and strangers listening and connecting, people making signs, two (!) masseurs with tables offering massage, and a micro-agorist marketplace with a bunch of us selling or trading our wares on the street and on the green...
Indeed it was so wonderful, we decided to host another joint gathering on Saturday (our regular day) again in collaboration with Luminary Village and SF's Friday Park Friends, and this time we also have Harmony Village & the East Bay/Contra Costa Freedom Cell joining us. Methinks it will be a good break between the two very important rallies happening on Friday and Sunday. (Hope you got that email from my non-Mailchimp account ;)
We recommend bringing blankets to sit on, as well as potluck food and drinks to share.* The weather on Saturday is going to be a very warm 72 degrees), but hey, it’s San Francisco so be sure to bring layers too.
If you have items to sell/trade/give away, and want to join in our weekly sidewalk sale (which happens right on 19th Street, on the other side of the fence to where people will be sitting), you should bring a small table or box to display your wares. You can also sit with your items on the grass and have people walk over to you.
For those of you driving from further afield, it is totally possible to get lucky with parking, but just in case, be prepared to walk a block or two. Also you could consider BARTing it in, as it’s only a 11 minute walk from 16th & Mission BART.
In summary:

Oh by the way, at 2.30pm, there will be live music: Bossa Tropicale will be playing for us!
