Whether you are just getting off the couch or a seasoned competitor, our training Blue Crews will help you prepare for a successful event. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to join us!

Our vision is to give every child the chance to live a healthy life. Our goal is to have those who can, TRAIN FOR KIDS and encourage them to RUN BECAUSE YOU CAN.

Our unique model raises funds to host our after school Youth Fitness Program through membership fees from our R4R Blue Crew (https://www.meetup.com/Runnin-for-Rhett-Blue-Crew-Train-for-more-than-yourself/) adult training program, supplemented with events (http://www.runninforrhett.org/events/) we host and generous corporate and individual sponsors (http://www.runninforrhett.org/sponsors/).

So when you train with R4R’s Blue Crew, you are training not only for yourself but for the youth of our community. Every two months you are a member of the Blue Crew you enable another student to participate in the R4R Youth Fitness Program. 1 year of your training = enables 6 youth to move into life.

Our R4R Blue Crew is designed to offer a wide array of training options to our members. Beginner to veteran, slow to fast, young to old – we’ve a program for you, in your community, at convenient times/days in almost every possible topic: walking to 5K racing, trail running to cycling, social to competitive. TEMPO WORKOUT: Downtown Sac Blue Crew @ Fairytale Town Parking Lot

Per the training plan, those focusing on the half marathon distance are scheduled to do a TEMPO workout on Monday's. **Tempo workout: Warm-up 1 mile, complete the middle miles at race pace or faster, then cool down for 1 mile *Snack Update* -- Because of COVID, our snack rules have changed. Snacks will be provided for everyone who shows up in their baby blues. And we have LOTS of snacks! Please just take one. The rest will go to the people who are there after 7. See you soon! And GO RHETT!! If you want to start earlier or later than 5:30 and run on your own, please let us know in the comments section BUT don't RSVP in Meetup. We'd love to know you're out there! This group is led by long time R4R members, Lyla Tyler and Cindy Granados. We walk to do a slow interval, usually doing 4 miles or so. Come join us!
