Talk 1: Learning Rust at Recurse Center

• Pete Lyons will highlight some of the most interesting moments and rust code snippets from his time studying rust while attending Recurse Center.

Talk 2: Tokio

• Joel Dice will present Tokio. Tokio is an asynchronous networking library based on futures, enabling highly efficient client and server applications based on everything from UDP to HTTP/2. In this talk, I'll discuss the building blocks of a Tokio-based app: futures, streams, sinks, and combinators, and how they can be used to implement protocols of arbitrary sophistication.

Pair Programming:

• Bring a project you'd like to work on
• Pre-select an open issue to start creating a pull request
• Find some documentation you'd like to improve or update

Parking: There is street parking on Platte if you can get it and in Highlands across the pedestrian bridge. Be sure to check parking signs and obey laws.
