Rust Hack & Learn

Details
Event
Let's meet for open hacking and collaborative learning in our (soon to be) regularly scheduled learning group!
Everyone is welcome! Never written a single line of Rust, but interested in the language? Don't worry, many of us are just starting off. This event is not a tutorial, but there are people around to get you set up and going with Rust. Already have a project? Just hack on it or find others interested in contributing. Feel free to leave a comment on this event advertising your project!
Please bring a computer, there will not be ones provided.
This event is free.
Food is not provided, though there are cafés and food options nearby.

If you're looking for a Rust project to hack on, we've recently registered the domain name rust.nyc which will be used in the future to display relevant information and resources for the Rust NYC meetup. Appropriately, the plan is to write the backend (and maybe the frontend (https://users.rust-lang.org/t/compiling-to-the-web-with-rust-and-emscripten/7627)?) of rust.nyc in Rust.
Rust?
Rust (https://www.rust-lang.org/) is a new systems programming language developed by Mozilla.
