========== Main Talk ==========
Rust in Practice by Brian Myers
Brian Myers is a finance guy who started learning programming as a hobby a few years ago. He’s going to speak about a small utility crate he’s been working on that uses the Unicode Common Locale Data Repository to turn numbers into properly formatted, internationalized strings.
Topics will include best practices for Rust API design (traits, builders, ...), unicode (strings vs. bytes), performance (avoiding allocations, algorithms, ...), unsafe code (raw pointers, ...), no_std, and specialization.

David Barsky is an engineer at Amazon. He is one of the co-authors of the AWS Lambda Runtime for Rust.
