See all- Creative Intent: Powerful Design & Illustration Tools & Techniques in PhotoshopAdobe Conference Center, Seattle, WA
Purposeful creation involves intention, skill, and, often enough, serendipity. With an insightful prompt and some luck, Photoshop’s generative AI might render your vision—or it might not. Inspired by Pasteur's comment that “chance favors the prepared mind,” Luminous Works’ classes provide you with knowledge and skills for purposeful creation with and without the use of GenAI.
In this presentation, Steve Laskevitch pulls from his curriculum to share some favorite features and approaches to creating in Photoshop. We’ll leverage Blend Modes, learn some surprising masking techniques, integrate Illustrator art, explore Photoshop’s newly augmented gradients, and more.
Steve Laskevitch is the founder of Luminous Works Training, the Pacific Northwest's preeminent Adobe software training center. He's a certified instructor, teaching Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign, and more. Over the years, Steve’s built production workflows for many companies, helped Adobe craft their certification exams, and has taught thousands online and in-person, at colleges and industry conferences, in corporate conference rooms and Luminous Works’ cozy classroom. He created the Course & Compendium series of books used by schools, universities, and individuals everywhere, authoring the series' Photoshop and InDesign books.
