Meet Online During the outbreak of COVID-19, SFMET has been hosting online meeting using Zoom, an online meeting software. If you are new to Zoom, here is a video clip on how to join a Zoom meeting https://www.youtube.com/embed/hIkCmbvAHQQ?rel=0&autoplay=1&cc_load_policy=1. Our meeting officially starts from 7:00 pm and ends at 8:30 pm every Tuesday. However, the meeting room will be open earlier at 6:45pm for people to warm up and network. Each meeting is consist of three major sessions: prepared speeches, table topics, and evaluations. In prepared speeches, members give a speech of 5-7 mins they have prepared for already. During table topics, table topic masters throw out questions related to the meeting theme, and everyone is welcome to participate with a 2-min impromptu speech. After table topics, functionaries including speech evaluators, English / Mandarin grammarians, ah-counter, timer, and general evaluator will help us evaluate the meeting quality. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a Guest You will take a relaxing time enjoying speakers' speeches, inspiring table topic ideas, and informative evaluations. Besides, You are encouraged to introduce yourself to the audiences, take on functionary roles, and share your feedback. If you would like to improve your Mandarin / English or public speaking skills, there will be a lot of opportunities for you! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Become a Member To give prepared speeches and evaluations, you will need to register as a member of the club.
