Topic: "Innovating in healthcare"
- The total health care industry grew to $3.5 trillion in 2017 accounting for 17.9% of GDP. The Department of Health and Human Services estimates that it will continue to grow to $6 trillion by 2027
- There has been a significant rise in new technology companies entering this space. In 2018 alone, $8.1B was invested in just the Digital Health Industry, up 42% from the previous year.
- Through his experience at One Medical, Wes will provide insight into why healthcare product development is more challenging than traditional product development and unique opportunities to innovate more effectively in this space.
Bio: Wes Donohoe is the VP of Product + Design at One Medical working to innovate its member, clinical and operational technology products that include One Medical’s members IOS, Android and Web applications as well as One Medical’s proprietary EHR and operational tools. Wes is passionate about building holistic technology products that deliver the highest level of service, access, and engagement to drive better health and care for One Medical’s members. Prior to joining One Medical, Wes was the Head of Product at Shyp and SVP of Product at Live Nation Entertainment. Wes holds a BS in Business Administration from Babson College.

Re-imagining a product to compete in a new digital age and being able to take the customer along for that journey is no small task. Come learn how we used data and customer insights to transform one of the best known enterprise software products into a dynamic tool that provides products and services across desktops, browsers and mobile devices.
Bio: Dan Swett leads the PowerPoint Foundations and Collaboration product teams responsible for every version of the software across Windows, Mac, Web and Mobile. Dan was instrumental in leading PowerPoint’s transformation from client-centric waterfall development to a data informed, services-first organization. His team’s work ultimately helped pave the way for how product updates and experiences are delivered today across the entire O365 suite.
Dan puts the customer at the center of everything and is acutely aware of the collaborative experiences they need to succeed in today’s hyper-competitive business environment. It was with this mindset that he and his team launched PowerPoint Designer in 2016. Since that time, the product has transformed over 1 billion slides. Dan’s team is based in Silicon Valley, with contributors across the globe in China, India and Israel.
He previously led product for PowerPoint Online, the PowerPoint Desktops and PowerPoint’s service portfolio.
