Reactive All the Way Down with James Ward, 2/2

In which James builds upon the previous day's SBT-Web-fu and live codes a Play 2.3 app!

Reactive All The Way Down

The world is going Reactive but not just for the back-end; UIs are also becoming Reactive.  In this session we will walk through how to build an end-to-end Reactive application with Scala, Play Framework, Akka, and AngularJS.

Fun fact: this is Alexy's birthday.  Thanks James for coming all the way from Colorado to help us celebrate with Scala folks in SF at SF Scala!:)

Thank you for the presentation, James! The jobs that Alan and I mentioned at the beginning are described at http://www.viglink.com/jobs One thing we didn't mention on Friday: VigLink's funding is from First Round Capital and Google Ventures.

Amazing. The live coding was riveting, the explanations lucid.

    Hey everyone,

Just a heads up. Security will be closing the entrance to the building on the Spear street side, but their is another entrance on Main street that everyone must come through. It is the same side as the loading dock for people with bikes.

Are there any bicycle parking available?

    April 11, 2014

    • Phil M.

You can bring bikes up to our suite, but you will have to go through the loading dock that is on the Main street side of the building.
