IGN (http://www.ign.com/) has been kind enough to host the meetup this month at their office, so please make note of the new location. We'll need to provide the building's security with a list of people attending, so please make sure to RSVP.
Sophie Lebrecht (Co-founder Neon Labs) -
What makes viewers click on a video thumbnail? Come find out from the folks at Neon, who will demo Neon for Video with videos from IGN Entertainment.
Neon is the fully-automated image selection platform for monetizing digital content. Their first product, Neon for Video, is the real time optimization tool for video thumbnails, proven to increase video views by 5-30%.
The group will discuss how we select thumbnails that make users click and how we measure and test through A/B testing and real-time thumbnail optimization loops.
Lightning Talks - We're going to start opening up the floor for lightning talks after the organized speakers each month. How many will entirely depend on how much time we have available, but we'll always try to do at least one. Hard cap of 3 minutes (not including a few questions after), so if you want to present make sure to keep it concise!
As always, if you're interested in speaking at this or any future meetup, you can always comment on the meetup page or contact me directly (Matt McClure).
