You spent the last 6 months of your life building and launching a site. Now the client is asking: “How are my KPIs performing?” Maybe you have already installed Google Analytics or maybe you just did a few “Drupal Google Analytics” searches. Either way, implementing the basics of Google Analytics, is a breeze. The trouble is that it does not give you enough information. You know how many people are going and where, but not what they are actually doing on the site, how far they are scrolling, how many white papers they downloaded and etc.

In this talk, Vadim will:

  • Explain why we need to start tracking our sites with more granularity; pageviews and sessions are just scratching the surface.
  • Help you understand the difference between page and event metrics.
  • Provide recommendations as to which Drupal modules most cleanly integrate with google analytics.
  • Show you how to save hours setting up GTM via automation with gtmbot.io.
  • Illustrate how GTM can be used to setup any 3rd party script. Empower marketing teams and save dev time!
  • Provide examples of how to setup goals and filters within Google Analytics.
  • Use a Chrome extension, dataSlayer, to debug and ensure all your data is being sent to the right places.
