The Mozilla Developer Roadshow ( is coming to Springfield!

SGF Web Devs and Eagle Speak ( are thrilled to be able to present the Mozilla Developer Roadshow as they swing through SW Missouri.

Join us for a Mozilla-focused event for people who build the Web.

This event will happen at the same time and place as our usual monthly meeting but we will be cranking up the awesome for this special occasion.

Hear from expert speakers highlighting the latest and best in Mozilla ( and Firefox ( technologies.

We will have 3 developers from Mozilla presenting on an array of topics that you will not want to miss.

Greg Tatum: "WebGL - Beyond the DOM"

The web started with some simple HTML tags to represent documents with the Document Object Model (or DOM for short.) WebGL enables a whole new class of applications and experiences for the web that move what the web is capable of beyond just the DOM. It opens up whole new virtual worlds and applications for exploration and innovation.

Luke Crouch: "How to run your code on the dark web"

Tor is an open anonymized network and web browser. Millions of users connect with Tor every day. Is your code ready for them? This talk introduces Tor, provides an overview of how it works and the adversaries and attacks its designed to stop, and shows that optimizing your code for Tor is quite practical, and improves your code for everyone.

Optimizing code for Tor makes code better for everyone. And, thinking about Tor's implications on web code is an approachable way for developers to learn some fairly advanced privacy & security concepts & threat models.

Josh Mize: "Open Infrastructure"

Hear about Josh's personal experience moving to Kubernetes and the benefits of developing infrastructure in the open.
