What we’re about
At Toastmasters, members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Our club is made up of 10 to 15 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluations. Guests are welcome to attend for free. Just stop by to meet the participants and to observe a meeting. SLO Toastmasters Club 83 | Mission "We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth."
Currently, we meet every Thursday on Zoom with every other week conducted in a hybrid meeting format. Please inquire about our hybrid meeting schedule if interested in meeting in-person.

Yes, we really do meet at 6:30 AM. It's not so bad if you think about it. While most people haven't hit snooze on their alarms, you are dressed, hopefully fed, and conquering your public speaking skills. At 7:45 AM, the new energized YOU is ready to take charge of the day! This allows you to start your day with a splash, keep your lunch appointment, and enjoy a relaxing evening after work.
