Calling all software engineers! In this edition of STACK-X: Meetup, seasoned engineers and architects from GovTech’s cloud computing teams will attempt to de-mistify the Government’s work on Cloud Templates and Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC), and take you through our experiences thus far in implementing IAC across different government agencies and services. GovTech Deputy Chief Executive Chan Cheow Hoe will give the opening address, followed by presentations from veteran engineers Hunter Nield, Samuel Loh and Tang Bing Wan.

About the Presenters
Hunter Nield: Hunter is a GovTech Distinguished Engineer with specialisations in cloud computing and software development. He was a Smart Nation Senior Fellow in 2018, where he partnered the Government Digital Services in strategic planning and sharing his technical expertise. With 20 years of private-sector experience under his belt, Hunter most recently served as Head of Research and Development at Amihan Global Strategies – a firm focusing on digital solutions, consulting and implementation for businesses throughout Asia – from 2016 to 2018.
Samuel Loh: Samuel is a software engineer with the Applications Infrastructure team at GovTech. A polyglot programmer, he worked as a software engineer at CrimsonLogic prior to joining GovTech in 2015.
Tang Bing Wan: Bing Wan is a principal consultant architect with GovTech’s Technical Services group and a member of the Commercial Cloud Taskforce. Bing Wan has almost 20 years of experience as an IT professional and consultant in both the public and private sector.
