Minecraft meetup!

Details

This is a chance to discuss programming and play in the world of Minecraft!

Join us for a free, two-hour workshop to explore the Minecraft world through code! Use blocks of code to take Steve or Alex on an adventure through a Minecraft world. You’ll use kid-friendly programming to learn how creativity and problem solving come together to make something all your own. Afterwards, explore Minecraft through our Build Challenge! Players will work in teams to create something epic before the clock runs out.

Curriculum and activities designed for all ages.

It is recommended that your student bring their own set of headphones and laptop for an optimal experience.

We usually split into two groups - players and parents. The players will get on a family friendly server and play Minecraft. The programmers share what they are working on or want to work on. The group picks topics and challenges that can be collaborated on during the time between meeting.

This is a very casual and friendly group and any and all participation is welcome. We have educators, professional programmers, hobbyists and students.

There will be plenty of time for adults to network and share ideas and tips on how to raise your child in the digital age. And time for those who like to play Minecraft to play.

The parent, legal guardian or authorized adult caregiver of every camp participant under 17 years of age must sign a Participation Agreement upon arrival and remain in the Microsoft store for the duration of the event.

Reserve your spot now. See you there!
