Oct 16th Sunday Hackternoon is unusual

From: user 1.

As usual we will be meeting at Hacker Dojo tomorrow Oct 16th.

It's unusual that we will be in a room called "The Cave".

Usually we meet in a room called "Savanna".

Hacker Dojo has just acquired a bunch of new space north of the
existing Hacker Dojo.

If you want to see this new space I *MIGHT* be able to arrange a tour.

Hacker Dojo is eager to recruit new members so a tour might facilitate that.

I've heard chatter that new memberships may be discounted a bit; I'll
report more as I hear it.

Currently Hacker Dojo is in 140-A and 140-B Whisman.
They are now expanding north, into 140-C and 140-D.

This expansion is substantial.

Anyway, as usual, we will be doing paired programming.

I anticipate problems with Sunday Hackternoon on Oct 16th:
  - The Cave will be too small
  - Hacker Dojo will be too noisy (due to construction)
  - Attendance will be low so the potential partner list will be small

I offer some suggestions to mitigate these problems:
  - Bring some headphones for music to drown out the noise
  - Be prepared to work alone

Also I offer 2 alternative venues to the Hackternooners.

First, is the 2nd floor of RedRock Cafe on Castro St. in Mountain View.
RedRock is 1.1 miles to the north on the corner of Villa and Castro.
RedRock as excellent power, WIFI, coffee, sandwiches, and pastries.

Second, is the Meetup here -> http://www.sfruby...
The venue is
St. James Gate Pub 1410 Old County Rd, Belmont, CA
Which is near 101 and about 17 miles north of Hacker Dojo.
According to,
This second Meetup is offering Live Music, Free Food and Drinks!
Since it is a pub, I doubt it has WIFI or power.
But, it might.

If your goal is to meet programming partners for paired programming,
the Meetup at http://www.sfruby...
might be a good place to find them.
