Tracy Potts will break down the probate sale from start to finish. She’ll cover understanding the roles of the probate attorney, executor, and/or conservator, nuances of listing agreements and offers, including overbids, and appraisal rules, when the judge/courts must be involved, and the realities of beneficiary interference or conservatee involvement. Most importantly, Tracy will talk about why timing is everything for properly closing the sale.

About Tracy M. Potts
Tracy is the principal of Legacy Law Group. She is a certified specialist in estate planning, trust, and probate by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. Tracy is an AV Rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell®. She practices in the areas of estate planning; business planning; trust and probate administration; special needs trusts; and limited conservatorships.
Tracy is a fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. She is a former chair of the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California, Trusts and Estates Section. Tracy was named a Northern California Super Lawyer® for 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. She was a recipient of a Sacramento Five Star Wealth Manager Award in 2010, 2012, and 2013. She is a former chair of the Sacramento County Bar Association, Probate and Estate Planning Section. She is a member of the Sacramento Estate Planning Council and California Women Lawyers. She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law.
Tracy is active in the community and enjoys spending time on philanthropic endeavors. She is the chair of the Greater Sacramento Area Partnership Council for the American Cancer Society. She serves as a member of the Advisory Council of the Assistance League of Sacramento. Tracy is also active in the legal community. She is a frequent lecturer on topics in estate planning and trust and probate administration.
