Pre-req's: Strongly recommend Drones 101: S3 Nano Flying Experience

Build and take-home your very own Nano-sized First-Person-View (FPV) Racing Drone!
Workshop includes (you keep ALL of this!):
• 1x nano FPV drone with custom 3D-printed frame
• 1x R/C radio with batteries
• 1x FPV goggles with battery and USB charging cord
• 4x extra propellers
• 5x upgraded batteries (STRIX 205mah)
• NOW INCLUDES 1x Smart battery charger for 6 batteries ($25 Retail)
Get your hands dirty while hacking together your Nano FPV Racing Drone kit during the first half of this 3-hour workshop. We'll cover everything from basic quadcopter mechanics and electronics to maintenance and troubleshooting. Then, strap-on your First-Person-View goggles and experience flying from the drone's cockpit with a live video feed from an on-board camera! Finally, compete with your fellow classmates for glory and bragging-rights on a two-story, LED-lit race course with drone you built!
And don't worry, we'll cover lots of drone safety, flying etiquette, and best-practices to give you everything you need to fly and race.
Drones 201 is a great way to plunge into the Nano FPV Drone Racing world - you will LOVE racing indoors, which is also great practice for outdoor racing! You will earn your Nano FPV Flying Badge, which certifies you to race any future Nano FPV racing events at the Idea Foundry.

For those of you who are interested in FPV Drone Racing, but aren't sure if it's for you, or want to try it out before you build one of the bigger drones, Drones 101 is for you!
For those of you who are already into FPV Drone Racing, you will LOVE racing indoors at this nano-scale! It's great practice for outdoor racing!
Spectators are welcome at to join any of these S3 Nano Racing Series events, free of charge!
