Marie O’Neill Decanates – What are they and why use them?

The use of decanates has been around since Ptolemy. It was recognized in ancient times that the 48 constellations along with the 12 signs and 36 extra-zodiacal constellations were decans; which comes from the Greek word meaning ‘ten’. Therefore, each decanate is a ten degree section of the zodiac. Tonight’s talk will focus on describing the decans of each sign – giving its characteristics along with how each decan flavors the signs of the zodiac.

Marie O’Neill (MBA) is the founder of Padma Life Coaching located in Santa Rosa California. Marie is a ‘Master Level’ Certified Evolutionary Astrologer through Steven Forrest’s Apprenticeship Program, and is currently studying Esoteric Astrology with Alan Oken as her mentor.
