This is a group for people who have experienced traumatic events in their lives and are now taking the steps to recover, rebuild, and live a more fulfilling life. Whether it was Psychological, Emotional, Physical, Sexual, everyone has a different experience in the type of abuse and trauma. The ultimate connection we share is the inner knowledge of what it feels like to undergo an event that changes the direction of your very life and being, and the struggles of living a normal life with PTSD, anxiety, irrational fears, and physical illness.
I hope to create this group where people not only feel comfortable in talking about their experience and what they have learned in recovery, but that we can support each other in our journey of healing. I'm not a therapist nor have a degree in psychology. My plans for this group is a combination of talking/sharing sessions with occasional book assignments for discussion.
