Power BI Dataset Tuning Tips

Details

Join us on July 10th to learn how to develop effective models for large datasets. According to Power BI expert Armando Lacerda, it's better to get your models right from the start, and essential if you're working with large datasets.

You'll learn:

  • Best practices for Power BI model design
  • How to measure the performance of your datasets
  • About how to avoid common model design errors

Most Power BI reports use small datasets. And due to today’s lighting fast data engines, most data model mistakes are masked. But when datasets get larger, performance of reports with poorly designed data models start to lag. At some point, the models need to be fixed, and the reports updated accordingly.

The Power BI data engine is not relational and therefore most data modeling techniques either don’t apply or don’t deliver. Armando will go over how to develop models and measure performance when larger Power BI datasets are involved.
