This Comics/Manga course is for people 18 and older who want to draw their own comics stories--regardless of degree of experience. All styles and genres are welcome.
Those who stay with this course will learn...

the habit of clearly telling stories visually.

ways of making art more persuasive and compelling.

details of different production cycles, attuned to different publishing models.

"tricks" to make faces more 3D.

methods to improve facial expressions.

tips for excluding the unnecessary, avoiding known time-wasters to bring greater efficiency to their drawing!
Teacher John Heebink
...taught for ten years in the Academy of Art Illustration Department, specializing in comics, figure and head structure and perspective, at graduate and undergrad levels.
Since 1991, worked as a comic-book artist, mainly penciling. But also writing, inking, lettering, and coloring in Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. Credits include Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD, Daredevil, Quasar, Power Rangers, Vampirella.
