What is your Customer’s Maturity?

Third party questionnaires are pretty common these days, but seldom do we see Customer Questionnaires. In healthcare there are existing and new companies that are on the startup fast track - how do you know which of these companies are going to increase your business risk? What do you need to know about them to be comfortable giving them access to the data you are protecting?

Brent Bigelow (Director of Risk and Compliance, Privacy Officer at Eligible) has 28+ years as a Security and IT professional focused in improving healthcare through security and innovation. Brent is also active in the community, serving seven years as an officer and board member for the local ISSA chapter, co-founding the annual Central Ohio ISSA Infosec Summit, mentoring young professionals entering the IT and Security field, and presenting at conferences. Most recently, he participated on a panel entitled “Security Never Sleeps” at the RSA conference that led him to be asked to partake in a AHIMA information governance task force effort to create a framework for the management and handling of healthcare information. He also is involved with OWASP, Infragard, and will soon be contributing security related articles to the web publication Securitycurrent.
