What we're about

The Science and Engineering Council (SEC) is a non-profit organization promoting public awareness of science and emphasizing the value of technical enterprises to the community. We hold luncheons on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Elks Club in Goleta. These meetings feature technical talks by industry experts ranging from nanotechnology to cybersecurity to “green” technology and more. Our other activities include sponsoring the annual Santa Barbara Science Fair and providing science/engineering scholarships. Our meetings are open to anyone who RSVPs, but there is a discount for members.
