San Francisco Scratch Educator Meetup (Reboot!)

Details

Kick off the new year to learn alongside fellow educators who use Scratch!

Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu) is a programming language that makes it easy for learners to create their own interactive digital media.

Scratch Educator Meetups are participatory professional learning experiences for teachers who want to learn more about teaching with Scratch. They are organized as unconferences.

At the meetup, we will:

  • Share strategies for integrating Scratch into classroom practice
  • Explore the core ideas underlying Scratch
  • Self-organize into different interest groups and hands-on activities
  • Learn about and practice with the new Scratch 3.0 features

This is the first meetup in San Francisco in almost two years! You won't want to miss it!

FREE! Open to all educators, including both Scratch newbies and experts. Breakfast will be provided. This is a good LWEA / Prop G opportunity for SFUSD teachers (with administrator approval).
