San Francisco Scratch Educator Meetup #2!
Details
We had an AMAZING reboot to our San Francisco Scratch educator meetup in January. (No need for FOMO! Check out our notes at: https://goo.gl/8ZXWZ8) Our next, and best yet, will be hosted by our friends at the Exploratorium!
Scratch (http://scratch.mit.edu) is a programming language that makes it easy for learners to create their own interactive digital media.
Scratch Educator Meetups are participatory professional learning experiences for teachers who want to learn more about teaching with Scratch. They are organized as unconferences.
At the meetup, we will:
- Share strategies for integrating Scratch into classroom practice
- Explore the core ideas underlying Scratch
- Self-organize into different interest groups and hands-on activities
- Learn about and practice with the new Scratch 3.0 features
- Gain experience with robotics and Scratch extensions
FREE! Open to all educators, including both Scratch newbies and experts. Breakfast will be provided.
SFUSD teachers: This is a good opportunity to earn your LWEA / Prop G paid PD hours (with administrator approval).
