This is our weekly drop-in/out game for new players. Our focus is teaching D&D 5th Edition to new players or players returning to learn 5th Edition. We'll also help players learn to DM if they want to try their hand at it.

Be sure you have your Profile set to alert you when you're confirmed for an event and respond to messages from the Event Organizers.

We have three tables for Levels 1-4. Seating for a specific table/DM is generally on a first come basis. Games may be with mixed leveled characters, so a first time player with a level 1 character may sit next to a level 3 character. Play accordingly; hang back if you're weaker, protect your comrades if you're stronger. Decide if your party needs to fight, run, bribe, or beg your way through the game.

D&D games should be fun for everyone at the table. We are looking for Heroic Adventuring Parties, so leave your evil, chaotic, solo, or morally questionable characters for your home game.

Characters:
You can find some premade characters here:
http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/features/character_sheets
http://www.digitaldungeonmaster.com/pre-made-dd-5e-character-sheets.html

Or you can build your own character using the “standard array” (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8). Take max HP when creating and leveling up. You may use any material from the official WotC published books for 5th edition, but no homebrew material, online content, or custom material. It's okay, and encouraged, to bring several characters of various levels since you never know what table you'll play. If you would like assistance building a character, you can show up 30 min before the game starts and one of the DMs will help you make a character.

Fighters and Rogues are easier for new players to use to learn game basics. If you're playing a Spellcaster, you should bring your spell details on index cards, photocopies, or a digital spellbook. Cell phones and tablets are okay to use for reference but leave your laptops at home due to space limitations.

We start at 6:30 so arrive early (between 6 and 6:25) to pick your table, buy your drinks/food, pick a pre-made character, etc.

Please keep your RSVP up to date. If you're on the WaitList and make other plans, be sure to change your RSVP. If you No Show us, you might get removed from future events. Be aware that Meetup sometimes has a delay on their notifications, so BE SURE to check your Waitlist status on the app or website.

This Event is FREE, but we ask that you please support our Host Raygun Lounge. We're here at their generosity and the usual table fee is $20 per hour, so be sure to buy some beer, snacks, or drinks to support our hosts and make it worth their time. (No outside food or drinks.)

Our tables are positive, friendly, and welcoming spaces for all adventurers, regardless of class, race, gender, or sexual identity. Any negativity fueled by real-world ignorance, hate, or fear will be met with swift action and possible permanent teleportation to the plane of eternal banishment.

We are NOT an official Adv League event, so we don't issue/track XP, items, rewards, etc.

($5 evening parking can be found around the corner at the garage on Summit Ave.)
