[In Person] Tuesday Night TTRPG - Deadlands!
Outer Planet Craft Brewing, 1812 12th Ave, Seattle, WA, US## Deadlands - Weird West
Howdy partners! Marshal Joe here!
Deadlands is best described as a supernatural western themed rpg set in the late 1800s. Cowboys and steampunk tech mixed in with monsters, myths and eldritch horrors!
The crew found the deadly eldritch creature known as a pox walker, an abomination that revels in spreading diseases and the suffering of its victims. This particular monstrosity tried to turn its stricken victims against our heroes in an attempt to hide among them in human disguise. Through a combination of divine and occult powers, our heroes forced the pox walker to reveal itself and thus justice was expeditiously brought down upon the monster. The villagers were freed from the monster's foul influence after its destruction and were assisted with the curing of their various unnaturally contracted afflictions.
The crew then continued north to catch the next train along the Iron Dragon Railroad to head further west. ALL ABOARD!This is an ongoing campaign but new player characters can be easily integrated into the story line so no need to worry about prior story knowledge.
For new players, there are plenty of pre-made characters to choose from so no need to stress about building a character from scratch at the table. If new players would like to build their own ahead of time, they are more than welcome to do so! I can easily fit new players right into the narrative.----------------System Information-------------------

Table information:
Tuesday Night TTRPG @ Outer Planet brewing is a rotating campaign table. DMs take turns every two weeks to run their own games and settings.Currently three RPGs are in regular rotation:
Joe runs a Savage Worlds TTRPG called Deadlands.
Joseph (a different person) runs Dungeon Worlds.
Ryan runs Blades in the Dark. Our table is a positive, friendly, and welcoming space for all adventurers, regardless of class, race, gender or sexual identity. Any negativity fueled by real-world ignorance, hate, or fear will be met with swift action and possible permanent teleportation to the plane of eternal banishment.
This table runs a few different games on a roughly two week rotation, each game run by a different member of the group. This allows DMs time to be players, prepare their own games, and to recharge.
We do have a discord! Bug the DM of the night for access
FAQ:
- What system is this?
Deadlands, a version of Savage Worlds
*Im a new player, what can i do before showing up?
Hello! Depending on the time you have the easy answer is to show up 1/2 hour early, we can build you a character or help you choose from some pre-made characters.
- We sometimes have a rather large table. If you are interested in DMing, let either Nick or Joseph know. We are always interested in side tables to handle overflow.
*if you've made it this far, good job at being thorough! Tell The Marshal (the gm for the game that's wearing the cowboy hat and badge) that you're owed a sticker!

D&D 5e Open game for Beginners at Urban Family Brewing 2026
Urban Family Brewing, 1103 NW 52nd St, Seattle, WA, USThis is our weekly drop-in/out game for new players. Our focus is teaching D&D 5th Edition to new players or players returning to learn 5th Edition. We'll also help players learn to DM if they want to try their hand at it. (I'm mostly familiar with the legacy 2014 rules.)
We will be managing the RSVP/Wait List in favor of new players over players who have been with us for over 1 year AND/OR players attending other weekly D&D 5e public play games. If you're a visitor to our Emerald City, let us know, you may get a jump on the Wait List! Ideally, in that year, you'll learn the game basics, make some friends, and find a home group.
I do not use the MeetUp paid Priority system, you CAN RSVP without paying for a Meetup membership.
Be sure you have your Profile set to alert you when you're confirmed for an event, when you receive messages from the Event Hosts, and comments in the event.
To avoid NO SHOWS, failure to respond to my direct message to confirm your status will result in being removed from the event.
RSVP for each event will open two weeks before the event date.
Please keep your RSVP up to date. If you're on the Wait List and make other plans, be sure to change your RSVP. If you No Show us, you will be removed from future events in this series.
Be aware that Meetup sometimes has a delay on their notifications, so BE SURE to check your Wait List status on the app or website.
How to find us:
Check with the Barkeep or look for the or look for the guy in the D&D shirt.Let me know if you're a DM interested in running a table or learning to DM!!
We currently have one table for Levels 1-4. Games may be with mixed leveled characters, so a first-time player with a level 1 character may sit next to a level 3 character. Play accordingly; hang back if you're weaker, protect your comrades if you're stronger. Decide if your party needs to fight, run, bully, bribe, or beg your way through the game.
We are looking for Heroic Adventurers, so leave your evil, chaotic, solo, or morally questionable characters for your home game.
I will have some paper premade characters (Legacy 2014) available.
Or you can use some D&D Premade characters on D&D Beyond or build a Level 1 character on the D&D Beyond Character Builder. Use the standard set numbers (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8). Take max HP when creating and leveling up. You may use only the Core rules, Expanded Rules or the 2014 Core rules. No Legacy, Non-core rules, or Partnered Content. Regardless of class, you should equip your character with a dagger, melee weapon, and ranged weapon.
Fighters and Rogues are easier for new players to use to learn game basics. If you're playing a Spellcaster, you should bring your spell details (index cards, photocopies, or digital). Cell phones and tablets are okay to bring, but leave your laptops at home due to space limitations.
We start at 6:30. Arrive early to get settled, buy your drinks/food, pick a pre-made character, learn some game basics, etc.
Urban Family Brewing is a 21+ venue (no pets). Our events are FREE, but we ask that you please support our Host Urban Family Brewing. We're here at their generosity, so be sure to buy some beer, snacks, or drinks to support our hosts and make it worth their time. No outside drinks, but outside food is okay. Ample street parking can be found in the area. UFB does not serve food, but there are often food trucks nearby. We often play on the second floor and there is no elevator. Let me know if you have mobility issues.
Walk Ins: We often have late cancellations and No Shows. If you want to stop by in person and take a chance on getting a Walk In spot, you're welcome to stop by. I'll seat any Walk Ins if there are any spots available at 6:30.
Our tables are positive, friendly, and welcoming spaces for all adventurers, regardless of class, race, gender, age, or sexual identity. Any negativity fueled by real-world ignorance, hate, or fear will be met with swift action and possible permanent teleportation to the plane of eternal banishment.
We are NOT an official Adv League event, we don't issue or track XP, items, rewards, etc.
Any other questions? Just ask!
