Meet the Homeless on Rucker Ave. in Everett!

3217 Rucker Ave

Hello Everyone! I'm going to bring my hair cut equipment and someone there will help cut hairs from 3 pm. Come meet the homeless I support. If you are a stylist and would like to help, come on out and join us. (You can always arrange a different time and date to help). These 40 to 60 folks are living on the new grass location. Some are also living in their cars and around the area. There is no water or electricity provided. I have picked up some blankets, clothing, shoes, and a couple of much needed tents to give to them, but they are in need of more Tents, Tarps, Blankets, Sleeping bags, camping chairs, camping mats, and umbrellas. If you have them, bring them. I usually bring some drinks (cold or frozen water bottles, juices, chocolate milk or regular milk), hard boiled eggs, some fruits (bananas, watermelons, etc), vegetables, soup, snacks, or pizza. You can bring something to share with them, too. See you there! Amiga Debbie ***As far as this event system goes, participation is voluntary and you and your guests attend at your own risk, and that Organizers are indemnified.

Feed the Homeless - Northend

6304 194th St SW

Every Saturday morning, Shower to the People provides free hot Showers to the Homeless in Lynnwood. This is a great opportunity to directly help the Homeless Community in the Northend with a Meal Service while people wait for their turn to shower! We are a Grassroots Organization and RELY on Food Donations from Volunteers to feed the Homeless every week. This is not a Soup Kitchen! We are a Pop-up and serve the Food people bring that day. Please arrive at 10:30 so we can set up together and know how much food we will have for service. If you have RSVP'd to bring something, please honor your commitment because we count on EVERY DONATION, EVERY WEEK! We have been serving about 65 people each week but that can vary. You do not need to bring enough for 65 if you bring a donation; any amount is great! Not every Volunteer is expected to donate, but if are able to bring Food, that would be amazing! Please let us know what you’d like to bring! Suggestions: WATER and other individual DRINKS Deli Items/Costco: Pizza, Sandwiches, Wraps Side Dishes, Salads, Veggies Fruit, Dessert, sweets, etc. Individual size chips, snacks, fruit cups etc. String Cheese, Jerky or Pepperoni Sticks Nonperishable Food for folks to take with them: Peanut Butter & Jelly, apple sauce, fruit cups, cereal, granola bars, etc. We ALWAYS need more Tables! If you're able to being a folding table with you, that'd be awesome! We could also use COOLERs with Ice (to borrow), Plastic Shopping Bags, XL sturdy Plates, Qt sz Ziploc Bags, and to-go containers/Tupperware. You can view Shower to the People's needs and donate directly to them through their Amazon Wishlist: http://showertothepeople.webstarts.com/help_us.html https://www.facebook.com/showertothepeople/ If you work for a company that provides a Company match through Benevity, Shower to the People is set up as a Cause. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Apple, ADP are just a few that use this service. Please log your donations for an employer match or time or donations to STtP. Please ensure you choose your Local Shower to the People Organization. Please see Map Pin on this Meetup for exact location. We are behind Trinity Lutheran Church, NOT inside. THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT. Please dress for the weather, and bring everything you'll need to serve your dish. Kitchen Facilities and Electric are not available. Kids are Welcome!
