Meet with other local people who are interested in volunteering for their community. We might hand out food at a food bank, help build a house with Habitat, mentor kids or anything else you could imagine!

Come join fellow HYP folks in making a tangible difference in your community! This month, we will be helping out at the Habitat Southcenter Store on Saturday September 30th from 10:15am to 2pm, and join us for a late lunch/happy hour after at Brewmaster's Taproom nearby! You'll work with a crew of volunteers to help accept furniture donations, organize shelves, and generally lend a helping hand. No experience necessary, just come meet the HYP crew and we'll take it from there!
The Southcenter Habitat Store is one of three Habitat operates in the area, and play a vital role in support of the continued building and repairs of homes for low incoming families in the region. Gently-used furniture, like-new appliances, and construction materials are donated at the stores. Proceeds are then funneled to Habitat for Humanity's affordable housing and repair projects in our neighborhoods. If you're looking for furniture, sometimes you can even find extremely unique, one-of-a-kind examples.

- Go to https://seattle-habitat.volunteerhub.com/ Sign in or create a new account. When creating your account, enter “HYP” when it asks for your Join Code. The event may not show up if you do not enter the Join Code.
- If you are creating a new account, complete the application, sign in, then go to the event schedule.
- Select a location and shift when you want to volunteer. For this month join us on the September 30th "HYP at the Southcenter Store" event.
- Review the site info, click “Sign-Up” at the bottom, accept the waiver, and you’re done!
