Toronto Serverless, Cloud Native, Docker, DevOps & Ruby communities are lucky to have a special guest Tung Nguyen visiting us! Tung is a presenter at AWS Global Summits 2018, founder of BoltOps.com, organizer for “San Francisco DevOps for Startups” meetups, and one of the most well-rounded IT professionals I've had the pleasure to meet. He went

1. from being a Keynote speaker at DockerCon 2014 www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=904&v=u7zHUC3dmRg
2. through being AWS Container Hero https://aws.amazon.com/developer/community/heroes/tung-nguyen teaching ECS and Fargate,
3. to creating Serverless Ruby framework for AWS RubyOnJets.com.

The technologies vary, but the common theme is “Tung makes what was complex simple” :)

Our guest will be answering your questions the about the future of Cloud Native Computing, Containers, FaaS & BaaS, AWS Summits 2018, and will show us how to create Serverless applications with Ruby using a tool called Jets. We'll learn a bit about how AWS Lambda works under the hood – to see how Ruby Support was added to AWS with essentially native performance.

Just take a peek at Tung's numerous video tutorials to get inspired which questions from your own work, you should bring to this meetup: https://www.youtube.com/user/tongueroo/playlists

P.S. Ecobee security requires your full name & email prior to entry, so please register using this link https://serverlesstoronto-sep21.eventbrite.com and bring a valid photo ID as they can be strict.
