There is no better way to grow yourself over a casual weekend get together with like-minded data enthusiast! This time, we're excited to have Emily Glassberg Sands, data science lead at Coursera, as our speaker, and she will share her knowledge on causal inference and career experience with us. The event is relatively informal and limited to only 25 people. The goal is to foster authentic conversations and build strong network for women in data. Light refreshments will be served. In honor of our groups 1 Year anniversary we will be serving cake!

Emily Glassberg Sands (http://linkedin.com/in/egsands) leads a team of data scientists at Coursera, an online education company with a mission to transform lives through access to high-quality education. Her team works on decision science and data products for platform growth, user content discovery, the learning experience, and Coursera's new enterprise offering. Emily also oversees the business intelligence engineering group, which drives the data modeling, data standardization, and self-service reporting foundational to analytical work at Coursera.

Emily received her Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard in 2014 where her research focused on experimental and applied methods to better understand labor markets and consumer decision-making.
