Bootmakers Meeting, Jan 29, 2022

Happy 2022 everyone. Our first Zoom meeting of the year will be our traditional Blue Carbuncle Awards meeting. We will acknowledge Bootmakers who have given talks and presented papers at our meetings, submitted articles to Canadian Holmes journal, and provided other duties during 2020 and 2021. And we will award silver shoehorns to three new Master Bootmakers for 2022!

Our special guest speaker will be Nick Martorelli, BSI, retired actor, occasional writer, haphazard collector and works as an audiobook producer. Nick is a Sherlockian, a trekkie, a Superman fan and Headmaster of the Priory Scholars of NYC (a SH book group). He has spoken at A Scintillation of Scions and we are excited to have him speak to us.

There will be a ceremony and toasts (via Zoom) so have a glass of your favourite beverage handy and wear something formal—at least on top—or maybe a Star Trek or Superman t-shirt in honour of our guest.
