Fri-Sun, 5/31 - 6/2, Rainbow River Cabin Weekend, Dunnellon, FL: We have reserved three cabins at the Rainbow River Club, located in Dunnellon, Florida, a beautiful 55-acre property surrounded on three sides by the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers. This preserve has many trails and boardwalks to the Rainbow and Withlacoochee rivers. They have a beautiful clubhouse, an outdoor swimming pool; peddle boats, jon boats, which are available for your use at no extra cost to you as a guest of the facility. They do have pontoon boats & skiffs at their Marina and at the Preserve Canoes & Kayaks which may be rented by the day for $16.00 (which includes sales tax). You can bring your own kayak.

Each cabin sleeps five with one double, two single beds and a futon. The cost is $48.00 per person. Payment is due when reservations are made and any cancellations must be made before May 25, 2013 or find a replacement your spot. Canoes, Kayaks, tubes and other gear are also available for rent from KP Hole, http://www.kphole.com/ (352)-489-3055.A county park on the river along with ferry service to the upper end for $10.00. You can read about the county rules governing the river on their site.

As the date gets closer we can plan meal preparation for us to eat together as each cabin has a full kitchen and outside grills. This should be an awesome opportunity for us to commune together in nature!

Check in time is after 4:00 and checkout is 11:00. We will leave early Friday morning at 8:00am, meeting at McDonalds on Cassatt Ave. just N, of I-10 for the 2:15 drive. I would like to make the most of the day, maybe hike the state park. You can also meet us there if you wish. We can bike, kayak or whatever sounds like fun.
