The Last Drivers License Holder has Already Been Born

Details

Artificial intelligence, robotics, electric cars, and other game-changing technologies are all coming together in the automobile industry—forming a perfect storm of disruption. In the very near future, people won’t have their own cars; every vehicle will be “owned” by the shared economy. The spin-off effects will be dramatic. Jobs will be eliminated. Housing prices will become affordable again. Hospital infrastructures will shrink. And China will be the world’s biggest automotive exporter.

These are just some of the forecasts of Mario Herger, a researcher, author and consultant based in Silicon Valley, where he helps companies apply the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit from Silicon Valley to their organizations. Mario also hosts foreign delegations in Silicon Valley. His book Das Silicon Valley Mindset (published March 2016 in German), explores how to leverage the innovative and entrepreneurial mindset in Silicon Valley. His latest book is Foresight Mindset: The Art and Science to Design Your Future (April 2019 in German), and his upcoming book about Artificial Intelligence will be available in Spring 2020.
