Title: How To Choose Right Proxy Architecture For Micro-Services Based Application Delivery

Speaker: Seema Vaibhav Dubey, Principal Networking Sales Engineer at Citrix

Abstract: In this talk, Seema will cover how to choose the right proxy architecture for micro-services based application delivery. She'll go over Kubernetes networking 101, and then review Kubernetes proxy architectures - and how to decide which one is right for your business.

Bio: Seema Dubey, is a technologist with 15+ years of large scale application / service delivery experience, currently working at Citrix as a Principal Networking Sales Engineer. Collaborating with customers from discovery through production deployment: helping design performant, secure, highly scalable and resilient infrastructures to serve some of the largest sites on the Internet. Prior to this role, held various other positions as Tech lead, Principal TAM, Solution Architect. Seema holds a Masters in Computer Science & many IT certifications from Citrix and Cisco. Currently specializing in microservices with Citrix and Kubernetes.

Title: Working with Kubernetes: Beyond the Basics

Speaker: Sergio Castro, Senior Clouds Solutions Engineer at Oracle.

Abstract: Kubernetes is one of the cornerstones of modern cloud-native infrastructure. It is an open source platform designed to automate the deployment, scaling, and operation of containers. In this presentation we will dive into Kubernetes and into OKE, Oracle Kubernetes Engine. Learn about components like Deployments, Services, Replica Sets and Pods that make up an application in Kubernetes.

Bio: Sergio J. Castro is a Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer at Oracle America, he works out of Oracle Headquarters in Silicon Valley. Sergio offers 7 years of cloud computing experience and 26 years of overall IT experience. He has worked from multinational companies such as Oracle, IBM, and Ericsson to a 10 person startup company. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the Autonomous University of Baja California. He is an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect, Associate, and he also earned a CCNA from Cisco Systems. He focuses on Networking and on Next-Generation IT services.
