SV EcoTuesday - Set the direction for the future- new leaders needed

EcoTuesday needs some help from our members to keep this dynamic and popular group going!

I have spent the last 3 years running EcoTuesday, with Susan Cann co-hosting for much of that time. We have had a blast! We love the unique structure of EcoTuesday: it's focus on the Green Economy, the local speaker at each meeting, and the introduction circle to facilitate networking. If you have ever attended a meeting, you know that they are fun and powerful meetings, and help to build environmental careers and businesses.

However the environmental film that Susan has been working on had taken off, and she has had to travel a lot for that and her other business. My green interior design firm has been very busy, and I need to prioritize taking care of clients. Both of us have not had time to find speakers and publicize the group as well as it deserves.

We are putting the call out for some new leadership. The ideal individual would be:

• passionate about helping to spread the word about people who are creating a green economy

• Well connected/informed about the local environmental movement.

• someone who loves building community and connections between groups.

We are both passionate about this networking group, and would like to continue to help find speakers, and lend our network to publicizing meetings.

We would be happy to meet with anyone who is interested in helping to carry the torch over (organic) lunch or coffee, and can go over in detail the time required.

Essentially, EcoTuesday is a structured monthly networking event for sustainable business leaders and community members held concurrently in six cities across the country.
