About us
🎬 Welcome to the Silicon Valley Film Makers & Film Society!
We are a thriving, inclusive community of writers, directors, producers, editors, actors, and film lovers who are passionate about the art and business of filmmaking. Whether you’re an indie filmmaker, aspiring screenwriter, or a fan of powerful storytelling, this is your space to collaborate, learn, and create.
We host in-person and virtual events where creatives can connect, exchange ideas, attend workshops, screen works-in-progress, and develop projects together. Our goal is to make filmmaking more accessible, more collaborative, and more innovative—right here in the heart of Silicon Valley.

The O-1 visa is one of the most powerful pathways for individuals with extraordinary ability, but understanding what actually qualifies - and how to prove it - can be confusing. Join Manifest Law immigration attorney Arielle Sheinfeld for a practical breakdown of how USCIS evaluates extraordinary ability. We'll cover:- What "extraordinary ability" actually means under O-1 criteria
- The evidence USCIS looks for - and how to document your case
- How to use work normally blocked by patents and NDAs as supporting evidence
- Common misconceptions about who qualifies
- What a realistic O-1 timeline looks like
Bring your questions - there will be time for live Q&A with Arielle at the end.
